Andrew H. Schaffernoth founded Chesapeake Investment Marketing & Advisory Group in 2002 to take the next step in an impressive career that centers on investment marketing and client servicing.
He has two decades of experience in the institutional marketplace and has a proven record of success in marketing both equity and fixed-income programs. In his career, Mr. Schaffernoth has cultivated more than $4 billion in assets.
Prior to forming Chesapeake Investment Marketing & Advisory Group, Mr. Schaffernoth served as a senior sales executive for Strong Capital Management and sales director for First Capital Group (an affiliate of First Union Corporation). In each of these roles, he was primarily responsible for gathering assets for management. While at First Capital Group, Mr.Schaffernoth also led the development of new products and services designed to enhance the distribution of investment-management programs.
Mr. Schaffernoth’s record of success spans a wide range of investment marketing and asset-management services. He has handled new product introduction, built brand recognition in undeveloped markets, and created and maintained relationships with consultants, sponsors, and other distribution platforms.
His diversified client base includes a variety of corporations,associations, foundations/endowments, and Taft-Hartley organizations in a broad cross-section of geographic and demographic strata.
Through his comprehensive background in fiduciary services, product development, and marketing, Chesapeake Investment Marketing & Advisory Group provides their clients with the necessary resources to help achieve their goals of growing assets under management.
Mr. Schaffernoth graduated cum laude from Campbell University with a B.A. in Trust and Investment Management and is actively involved in numerous professional organizations.
